America's 250th Birthday: Red white, & Blue Celebration

Everyone is invited to our spectacular Red, White, & Blue America's 250th Birthday Celebration!

Free admission. Open to the public.

We’re celebrating America's 250th Birthday on July 2, at the Fort Meade Parade Field. There will be a DJ, a wide variety of food, beverage, and novelty vendors. Fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m.

Free Kids Bounce House (4-8 p.m.). Recommended for ages 2-14. Age limits vary by attraction. Please leave all pets at home! Grills, sparklers, and glass containers are strictly prohibited.

Gate Information:
Be sure you are aware of road closures and installation access:
🪪 DoD ID Card holders and their passengers can enter through the Mapes/32, Mapes/175 or the Rockenbach/175 entrances.
🏠 Residents: All residents living on the north side of the installation are encouraged to park in the lots north of Mapes Rd. or walk to the event.
👤 Visitors: Individuals without military identification must enter through the Reece/175 gate with a REAL ID. All passengers over 18 must also have proper identification.
🚗 Parking: Visitors will be directed to the main parking area. Everyone with DoD ID will be directed to parking depending on which gate they entered.
🛣️ Road closures: English and Cooper Ave. south of Mapes Rd. will be closed all day. After 3 p.m., Mapes Rd. will be closed between Cooper Ave. and MacArthur Rd.
➡️ Exiting: All vehicle traffic south of Mapes Rd. will be directed off-post. Residents that are part of this traffic will have to re-enter through another gate after the event. Please ensure you have the proper identification to re-enter.
