Fort George G. Meade Agent Shopping Program

Volunteer agent shoppers are available for authorized service members, family members, and retirees that are in need of assistance.* 

In recognition of the challenges associated with maintaining social distancing in commissaries around the world, the Defense Commissary Agency is offering Installation Commanders the discretionary authority to deploy a volunteer-based Agent Shopping Program to assist authorized patrons. -Rogers E. To participate in this program, follow these steps:

  1. Contact Janice Barnes @ +1(301)677-6658 or +1(301)677-5590 or email: agentshoppingprogram@gmail.com. You may request a shopping form from Janice, or you can download the form from the link below.
  2. Once approved, a Volunteer Agent Shopper will connect with you and do your shopping. The recommended Commissary hours are Monday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m.-12 p.m.(Limitations may apply)
  3. The Volunteer Agent Shopper will coordinate with you prior to starting shopping, and ask you to arrive at the Commissary 30 minutes later to collect your groceries. Note: Once at the cashier, the Volunteer will connect you with the cashier to pay by Credit Card (no debit cards accepted).
  4. Arrive curbside at the Commissary and a Volunteer Agent Shopper will assist in retrieving and loading your items. 

*Some examples of authorized patrons who qualify are: Spouses of  Deployed Military Service Members, quarantined, isolated, and COVID-19 at risk individuals including Retirees.
